I truly enjoyed my stay at Umino Hotel Hajime. The room was spacious with a breathtaking ocean view and a delightful private ceramic bath. Breakfast was a highlight, with various delicious dishes served by warm, attentive staff, creating a comforting, homely atmosphere.

Some noise from upstairs.

Great place for a family with kids

The room was spacious and had a giant window showing off the ocean view! Plus, the outdoor hot spring experience was breathtaking, especially during sunrise.

It wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable.

The outdoor hot spring was a highlight for us, especially seeing the sunrise over Beppu Bay. With two kids in tow, the spacious room fit us well, and we enjoyed the unique Japanese breakfast with freshly cooked bacon and eggs.

For dads, it would be great to have better instructions for the futon beds.

The room had an amazing view of Beppu Bay, and I loved soaking in the pottery bath while taking in the scenery. Relaxing in the outdoor hot spring while watching the sunrise was a fantastic way to start the day. Just a heads up, the futon setup could've been clearer, but that didn't spoil the overall great experience! ☀️
